South Head and Roych Clough

Weather: Overcast with some showers

 

An enjoyable introduction to the week's walking along farmers' tracks, grassy paths and across fells. There was still some snow around where it had been blown into drifts and, unfortunately, after some light showers, we had quite a heavy downfall as we made our way back to Hayfield. However, it did clear up before we reached the cars so that we weren't too wet for the continuation of our journey to Whaley Bridge where we had rented a cottage for the week.
